Basal Cell Carcinoma is not the fastest growing skin cancer out there, but it is skin cancer non-the-less. You can die from this from of skin cancer, so it's best to see a doctor as soon as you discover you have basal cell. Other forms of skin cancer are "Squamous Cell Carcinoma", and, the most deadiest form of skin cancer, "Melanoma"
There are more instances of skin cancer reported each year than all other conditions combined. Nothing is more deadly to humans than skin cancer. If you believe you have skin cancer, it's best to have a professional look at it for you. There are two types of skin cancer; the non-melanoma, and the melanoma form of skin cancer. The Basal Cell is a non-melanoma form of cancer.
When basal cell begins, it starts in the epidermis, (top layer of the skin) and it grows quite slowly. If you have a mole or skin growth that bleeds easily or will not heal, it may be basal cell carcinoma. Have your doctor take a look at it. A biopsy may be taken of the area and sent in for tests.
Basal cell carcinoma starts in the top layer of the skin called the epidermis. It grows slowly and is painless. A new skin growth that bleeds easily or does not heal well may suggest basal cell carcinoma.
Basal cell carcinoma is usually confined to a small area, and almost never spreads. Basal cell cancer may look only slightly different than normal skin so you have to really take a close look at your body, we recommend at least once per year. Basal cell may appear as pearly, pink, or flesh colored growth. It may appear raised or flat.
Treatment varies from cutting, to burning, to surgery, to radiation, even cryotherapy may be used.
